Based on our field experience, by using SMarT foundation kits Skystream installers will save 12 to 16 hours of labor, more than a day’s construction time and approximately $1,000 compared to traditional installation methods for Southwest Windpower’s 33.5 ft (10.2 m) monopole tower. These benefits almost double for the 45 ft (13.7 m) tower. The estimated cost saving is based on material and labor costs in the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area.
Kits include anchor rod templates, spacers, stanchion and fittings, steel reinforcement hoops, PVC electrical conduit elbow and fittings, multi-purpose cement, stub pier concrete form, locating brackets, adjustable guy ropes, nail pegs, construction drawings, instructions and expedited sealing of drawings by professional engineers (www.tepgroup.net). The box is 24” x 24” x 12” (610 mm x 610 mm x 305 mm) and weighs 42 lbs (19 kg). All unused components are either reusable or recyclable.
